In spelling we have been learning our words because in our writing we may sometimes spell words wrong in our recount or narrative. We do our spelling every morning or after the morning tea.

The Treasure Hunt
On Friday 28th of August, Paihia School had a treasure hunt to raise money for Sam godsiff - Johnson and the charity called I am hope, for people who are feeling sad and lonely, the charity raised $400. The prizes that got given out were escimo pie cards, golden headphones, $5 dollars, a ball, a hand ball, lollies and a chicken and chips little snack pack. All of the seniors had to look throughout the whole school for boots that had numbers on the back.
Sound Scape
In my group there was Braeden, Jack, Scarlett and I. We all made a samoan island sound for our soundscape.
Dinoramas
In my group there was Jacob, Cade and Me. We made in our Dino Rama an asteroid hitting earth, a beautiful waterfall, dinosaur nests for the dinosaurs.
Probability
In Te Maunga we have been doing probability. I learned how to take away high and low numbers in Spending Splurge.
Math Week
In Te Maunga we have been doing maths week. In maths week I have been learning about puzzle time. In puzzle time we had a box and the sides had to add up to 12.I learned how to add up to 12 without using the same numbers in the box.
Koru Patterns
In Te Maunga we have been learning about koru. The Mangopare represents strength. My Whanau picture of my whole family is the wonderful koru pattern. The Koru patterns are wonderful because they fit in the Maori patterns and the Maori whanau.
