On Friday 28th of August, Paihia School had a treasure hunt to raise money for Sam godsiff - Johnson and the charity called I am hope, for people who are feeling sad and lonely, the charity raised $400. The prizes that got given out were escimo pie cards, golden headphones, $5 dollars, a ball, a hand ball, lollies and a chicken and chips little snack pack. All of the seniors had to look throughout the whole school for boots that had numbers on the back.

Math Week

In Te Maunga we have been doing maths week. In maths week I have been learning about puzzle time. In puzzle time we had a box and the sides had to add up to 12.I learned how to add up to 12 without using the same numbers in the box.

Koru Patterns

In Te Maunga we have been learning about koru. The Mangopare represents strength. My Whanau picture of my whole family is the wonderful koru pattern. The Koru patterns are wonderful because they fit in the Maori patterns and the Maori whanau.
